What’s Happening at CWC:
TODAY: Spaghetti Dinner
Everyone is invited to a Spaghetti Dinner today, immediately following the morning service in the Fellowship Hall. The meal has been provided by the Johnson’s. However, donations will be accepted to purchase additional ministry equipment for Kidz Church.
TONIGHT: WMs Talkalatte’ @ 5:30PM
All women are invited for the Women’s Ministry Talkalatte’ at Jim’s Restaurant at 5:30PM. Jim’s is located in Austin at 12832 Research Blvd (Hwy 183 & Spicewoods Springs Rd).
WMs Meeting: February 1 @ 6:45pm
All women are invited to join for fellowship and discussion about the 2011 Women’s Ministry theme, “Quiet Influence”. We will meet at CWC. Please bring a snack to share. See Stephanie Largent for more information.
Crazy Love Groups: February 6 @ 6:00PM
Small Groups meet again on February 6th. Be prepared to discuss Chapter 7 in the Crazy Love book. The small group locations are: Reece Family (Cedar Park), Garza Family (Pflugerville), Barger Family (Round Rock), and Johnson Family (Wells Branch). If you are not currently attending a Small Group it’s not too late to join one. Sign-up sheets & directions are on the foyer table. If you need a Crazy Love book ($10 ea) please see Pastor Jon.
College and Career (2C): February 3 @ 6:00PM
2C will be meeting at the Johnson’s Home Thursday, February 3rd at 6PM.
“Love Your Neighbor” Day: February 12 @ 7:00AM
The next “Love Your Neighbor” day will be at Connie Jr. and Laurie’s (old house) 4400 Bunny Run Austin, TX 78746-1019. Work will include removing fencing and brush, raking leaves and more. Please bring chainsaws, rakes and other outside work tools. See David Buford for more information.
5th Quarter: February 18, 8:00PM-Midnight
Jr and Sr High School students are invited to come and hang out at CWC every 3rd Friday of the month. They play board games, video games, music and eat from 8PM – Midnight. Dates for 2011 are Jan 21, Feb 18, Mar 18 (TBD), Apr 15 & May 20. Please see David Buford for more details.
Annual Business Meeting: February 27
The Annual Business Meeting is scheduled for Sunday, February 27. There will be a potluck immediately after morning service with the meeting immediately following. Jane Frost’s Council term is up. The Council seat is a three year term. Nominations for consideration will be taken no later than today and ONLY in writing from & signed by an active member. The candidate MUST be an active member in good standing and preferably has served as a deacon.
